Centre of Multidisciplinary Research

The Multidisciplinary Research Cell has been created to foster the growth of R&D activities in SOA.  It was established to promote research and consultancy in the areas of Electrical /Electronics / Computer Science & Engineering / Bioinformatics, etc. The Centre is presently consisted of two major research laboratories:

  • Energy Research Laboratory

  • Embedded System Technology Laboratories

The energy research laboratory is a power system research lab with real-time interfacing/ RTI infrastructure and Renewable Energy based Distributed Generation provisions. The Renewable Energy Resources are possible to be integrated towards stability, control, management studies in terms of PV test benches from SILOV Solution Pvt. Ltd. Further wind power generation system (DFIG type) is in development towards multiple DGs based DC Microgrid test-bed setup.

In Embedded System Technology Laboratories Soft- computing and data analytic researches are well suited towards new mathematical validations. Application of neural networks, deep representations, optimization schemes towards electrical, biomedical signal processing areas is targeted to be evidenced in this laboratory setup.

This Centre has successfully produced 23 nos. Ph. Ds and 12 nos. of registered Ph. Ds is ongoing in the field of microgrid integration, Big data analytics, data mining and Bioinformatics.
