Infrastructure Facility

The Centre for Industrial Biotechnology Research (CIBR) facility will spread around 8,000 sq. ft comprising of incubation spaces for Biotech start-ups, sophisticated R & D Labs, training facilities with DG back up and all other facilities necessary for biotech start-ups to kick start their operations. CIBR have state of art laboratory as follows:

Proteomic Lab.: Facilities are available for studying and analyzing proteins, gaining insights into their structure, function, and interactions, contributing to advancements in molecular biology and medicine. Additionally, students can develop skills in mass spectrometry, gel electrophoresis, and bioinformatics to unravel complex proteomic profiles.

Genomic Lab.: Facilities are available for studying DNA, including DNA sequencing and genomic analysis, to understand genetic variations, gene expression, and genomic organization, contributing to advancements in genetics, personalized medicine, and biotechnology. Additionally, students can acquire skills in PCR, DNA isolation, and bioinformatics for comprehensive genomic research.

Genomic and proteomic laboratories are equipped with bioinformatics facility.

Fermentation Technology Lab.: Learning the principles and techniques involved in the controlled growth of microorganisms for the production of various products, such as biofuels, pharmaceuticals, and food additives. For gaining hands-on experience in optimizing fermentation processes, monitoring microbial cultures, and ensuring efficient bioconversion process.
