MEMS Design Centre (NPMASS)

National MEMS Design Centre (NMDC) at SOA University was established under National Program on Micro and Smart Systems (NPMASS) program of the Government of India. It has undertaken R&D and Training Programmes to meet some of the challenges of MEMS technology. The National Program on Micro and Smart Systems (NPMASS) is the government of India’s initiative program under the supervision of IISc Bangalore and IIT Bombay, working towards the basic objective of creating awareness in India about MEMS and Smart Systems. This has been launched after the success of the National Program on Smart Materials (NPSM), which is a unique program. The NPMASS under the Government of India is wholly supported by Defense Research & Development Organization (DRDO) through Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), and is endorsed by the five departments DRDO, DOS, DST, CSIR, and DIT.
